Marin Bocce has a partnership with the city of San Rafael but is not directly affiliated with SR Parks and Recreation.

The city owns the land and leases it to Marin Bocce. Our lease is up for renewal in 2030.

No, we are a nonprofit organization (501(c)3). We are privately funded and rely solely on bocce league fees and private event revenue.

The community center parking lot is for its patrons. The center allows Marin Bocce to park in its lot when it has space. If there is a sign in front that says, “No bocce parking,” that is because the center has an event going on and the parking lot is reserved. Marin Bocce players should park on Albert Lane and use neighborhood street parking.

We oversee maintaining the facility and grounds at Marin Bocce. We pay for all utilities as well as any upgrades that need to be made to the facility. It is not the responsibility of the city to maintain Marin Bocce, per our lease agreement.

No. Per our agreement with the city of San Rafael and our liquor license, we are only permitted beer and wine.
