2013 Women's Singles Tounament

The 2013 Women's Singles Tournament had both veterans and new faces alike battling it out on a windy but sunny Sunday in June.

It's not the first time Akiko Miller winds up in the top spot, when she's on, she's unbeatable!

Shelly Aires, was a reluctant player, (I'll bet she's glad she played now)

First time Tournament player Jessica Libien, couldn't quite get past Tourney veteran and third place winner Nancy Martino, but played well enough to take fourth place.

No strangers to the winners circle, Veslemoy Barnes, played well enough to take fifth place over Gingie Eggelson at sixth.

Reluctant to reveal where they placed, Patti Bassett and Gina Silvestri, can both be found at the courts often, if you ask nicely, maybe they'll tell you.

Inaugural Tam High Football Boosters Tournament and Fundraiser

Tam High held their first Tournament on June 2nd, and by all accounts it was a success. They smartly divided it into Experienced and Novice divisions, and all had a great time. This is another one to look for next year for a great time and a great cause.

St. Vincent de Paul Society Tournament and Fundraiser

The Ninth annual St. Vincent de Paul/St. Rafael tournament, was a rousing success, with great food, great play, and generous people.

Patti Bassett's Crue won the event for the second time in the experienced division, barely beating last years champion, Cecile Tescallo's I Biaccitori, in a real nail biter.

The Novice division winner, the Holy Rollers, and runner up Avanti II, showed everyone there, that they came to play.

But the real winners this day are all the people that St. Rafael's St Vincent de Paul Society will help, with the generosity of donors, sponsors, players, and the many volunteers who made it all possible.

Crue: Tim Ceppi, Team Captain Patti Bassett, Mark Bassett, Mary Vanelli, & Carmen Bottilgeri, pictured with Fr. John on left.

I Bocciatori: Cecile Tescallo, Joe Saccone, Bob Albertazzi, Akiko Miller, Tom Miller

Holy Rollers: John Donlon, Mary Burns, Tina Clinton, Rick Clinton, Nina Smith, Gene Smith

Avanti II: Terry Dale, Teresa Dalessi, Joanne Dale, Marianne Gagen, Andrew Hahn, Annie Hahn
